Robin Lane & The Chartbusters – (self titled) – 1980

This was the first album from Robin Lane & The Chartbusters. Robin Lane worked the coffee houses and folk clubs in her teens making a good name for herself.

In brushes with greatness she was actually married to future Police lead guitarist Andy Summers from 1968 to 1970. After some label bouncing she finally got her first album out as “Robin Lane & The Chartbusters” on Warner Brothers Records.

The album was well received and the singles “When Things Go Wrong” and “Why Do You Tell Lies?” had very heavy airplay.

Point of trivia, the music video for “When Things Go Wrong” was the 11th video shown on MTV’s first broadcast day.
