Husband and Wife team Michael And Stormie Omartian bring us their second album together. I have to admit that I listened to this album very heavily back in the early 80’s (Don’t judge me). When I was reading up on this album I was very surprised that it wasn’t more popular. It didn’t seem to make anyone’s best albums list and there is almost no mention of it on most CCM album sites. I was further surprised that there was no charting single on this album. This really surprised me as there are several tracks on this album that should have charted. Maybe I’m just over evaluating the album but really I thought it was much better than all this. I remember that “Big Time” was on a lot of our mixed tapes from the period and I have fond memories of it. Did you miss this album back in 1980? If you did and you like AOR you really should give it a listen.

Okay, so it’s a misnomer. Don’t know why you don’t have Michael and Stormie Omartians first album listed. Came in in 78/79. “Seasons of the Soul.” I was all over this album. I still play it to this day. It’s a shame it’s out of print as it’s a classic.
And this guy has recorded with the best. Christopher Cross, Donna Summer, Rod Stewart, Amy Grant, Peter Cetera, the list goes on and on.
I have his other Albums. “Adam Again.” “The Builder.” In my humble opinion, “Seasons of the Soul.” is the best. So many great songs.
Initially heard selections on KYMS in Orange County, CA. Loved this album!!!!
We’re uploading Seasons Of The Soul soon
This was, by far, one of my most favorite albums as a youngster. I, like Ray, was also surprised it wasn’t more popular. The Christian radio stations didn’t play much of it, unfortunately.
Michael Omartian is an incredible singer/songwriter/musician. Just check out the Grammy and Dove awards he’s received. The blending of musical styles Michael and Stormie created on this album is captivating. I must have worn out my phonograph needle on the the last song, “End Times”.
This album blew me away when I was 17 years old. Listening to it today, 44 years later, I’m even more impressed.
