Bev and Steve are back with another album and another band name. I really don’t understand why they felt it was necessary to have a slightly different name every album. Oh well anyway I think I know what they were thinking for this album. It has several experimental tracks and I think that’s what they were aiming for further demonstrated by the fact they didn’t release any tracks as a singles. While I don’t like it as much as their other work it’s still good and I enjoyed it.

With this album, you have a hybrid. Featuring remixed tracks from the unreleased Famous Names album (Venitian Blind) , and new Casual Tease tracks. The latter have the sonic stamp of Dave Hewson. I loved the CT’s and they did several live shows during 1981 in that form before morphing into the Techno Twins the following year. This album marked the last appearance of Rowlesy, and the launching of Steve and Bev as a musical entity. Its’ release was a way of mopping up the tracks really. One CT outtake that might interest you is Writz TV Times sung over the musical bed of Berlin Ballerina. Extraordinary.
