Fast Forword – Message for America – 1985

This is the only album from Fast Forword. The band was from Alta Loma, California and according to Bass player Mike Wood half the songs were recorded in San Francisco at Tecate Studio and the other half in a garage recording studio in Ontario, California. This explains the varying quality of the production. Mike also says they were influenced by Stryper, Motley Crue, Led Zeppelin, etc. The band graduated college and moved on with their respective careers.

  1. My name is Mike Wood, I was the bass player for the band. We were a pretty good group. You probably can hear the difference between the the sound quality of the different tracks. Half were recorded in San Francisco at Tecate Studios, the other half in a garage recording studio in Ontario, California. Hence, four songs sound awesome, four sound like we recorded in a bathroom! 🙂 Anyway, we were influenced by Stryper, Motley Crue, Led Zeppelin, etc. I loved my time in the band as we played churches, parties, the Sunset Strip in Hollywood, and high school assemblies. We have all since graduated from college and became two teachers, an e-vac nurse, and a civil engineer. Thank you for the post, it brings back good times.

    1. Thanks for the info, I’ll update the album description with the info. Thanks also for contributing to the CCM scene in the greatest decade in CCM music. Guys like you made our teenage years better 🙂 As a note of interest Scott’s wife checked in on our YouTube channel.
