Contagious were a Metal band our of California. This was their short run demo that was released on vinyl. They had an album subsequent to this on Regency records. I kind of liked this demo but I feel the production left a little to be desired. The info says that it was produced by Randy Thomas but I sincerely doubt it was the SCB Randy Thomas. While some of the songs are rather simplistic I took a liking to “He’s The Light” but unfortunately it didn’t make it onto their subsequent album.

I’d like to add some info to this band. The band was from my church, Calvary Chapel Downey (which I was asst head usher for the concerts then). It was the Randy Thomas from SCB who produced this, as they were somewhat affiliated then with Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. Randy Thomas was in touch with CC Downey during SCB & later Allies. Contagious second album “Free Indeed” was also produced by Randy and recorded at Allies Recording Studio (Randy’s Allies Studio in Franklin, TN – where the Allies albums were recorded).
Contagious is from the same church as Bob Bennett, Issac Air Freight, The Edifiers and others that evade my mind.
Wow, thanks for the info. I’ll update the review with it. Thanks
Actually Contagious met and formed at Calvary Chapel Paramount , before the church moved and most folks went to CC Downey.
That is correct
