Steve Camp – Fire and Ice – 1984

This 1984 release from Steve gave us more of what we expected from him. His pop sound continued on this album with some excellent light guitar riffs. The album single “Love’s Not A Feeling” made it to #4 on the CCM chart and staying on the chart for 30 weeks. “Living In Laodicea” also charted but only made it to #13. There were lots of guest appearances on this album including, Gary Lunn and Dann Huff from White Heart, Joe English as well as Carol and Rob Frazier.

Rob Frazier – This Town – 1986

Rob Frazier is extremely well known in the Christian music market. He first appeared on the scene in 1979 on Petra’s album “Washes Whiter Than”. He only did one album with Petra but he caught the attention of Light Records but it took awhile to put out his first solo album. This release was his second solo album and what an album it was. His unique sound is part Mellencamp, part Hooters, and occasionally I can even hear a little David Edwards. But comparisons are unfair. Rob is his own person with his own style and I love it. This album has an excellent down home light rock sound so give it a listen.
